Praxis Core Math Prep Course

You’ll receive 15 hours of targeted instruction to help you fully prepare for the math section of the Praxis Core. Topics Include:

  • Strategies for determining what the question is asking
  • Approaches to math questions presented in abstract form
  • Tactics for translating difficult real-world word problems into algebraic expressions or equations
  • Review of the mathematical concepts tested on the Praxis Core Math

Praxis Core Verbal Prep Course

You’ll receive 10 hours of targeted instruction to help you fully prepare for the verbal section of the Praxis Core. Topics Include:

  • Recognizing and correcting written communication errors that typically appear on the test
  • Correctly using and citing outside resources in research essays
  • Writing an organized, coherent essay in a limited time
  • Skimming longer passages for key information
  • Scanning for key words in passages to locate relevant information
  • Identifying and answering the types of reading comprehension questions that typically appear on the test

Online System Requirements

Live online courses and review sessions use a free Adobe Connect browser plug-in. The only requirements are high-speed internet access and speakers or headphones.

Protection of Minors

The University has adopted a Protection of Minors Policy to promote the well-being and safety of minors who participate in programs or activities run by or associated with Rutgers. The policy includes requirements relating to reporting suspected abuse or neglect of minors, completing relevant online training, and undergoing background checks for Authorized Adults and people in Direct Contact Positions as defined by the policy. Non-University organizations that wish to operate programs or activities involving minors on RU campuses must ensure their programs are run consistently with the guidelines of the University’s Protection of Minors Policy and the Guide to Working with Minors.
